Hasami Porcelain is a stackable, modular ceramics line made in Hasami, Japan, but designed in Venice Beach, California by Tortoise General Store owner, Taku Shinomoto in 2010.  Hasami Porcelain's plate/lid is made from a porcelain clay mixture and is stackable with other 3.3/8'' diameter pieces within the line.

The subtle texture is achieved by using porcelain made from natural Amakusa pottery stones mixed with potter's clay, this makes Hasami Porcelain pleasantly organic feeling compared to ordinary porcelain.

If you're familiar with Dieter Rams' '10 Principles of Good Design', you will recognize that this simple item checks all the boxes with ease.
